　　绘本简介：

　　一个叫owen的小老鼠很喜欢他的小毯子，从小到大从不离身，邻居的阿婶和爸爸妈妈想尽了办法也不能让阿文放弃，最后，还是妈妈想出了好办法：妈妈把毯子做成了一条一条的小手帕。这样，owen终于可以每天就带着他的“小毯子”不用受别人的目光了。

　　该书的作者是美国作家凯文.汉克斯，创作了许多温暖，生动的儿童图书，他的作品总是能反映出对真实的小孩子世界的了解。同时，本书2004年获得美国凯迪克银奖。

凯迪克大奖是美国最具权威的绘本奖，此奖已有六十余年历史，是为了纪念十九世纪英国的绘画家伦道夫.凯迪克而设立的，该奖着重作品的艺术价值，特殊创意，尤其每一本得奖作品都必须有“寓教于乐”的功能，让孩子在阅读的过程中，开发另一个思考空间。

　　绘本原文：

　　Owen had a fuzzy yellow blanket.

　　He‘d had it since he was a baby.

　　He loved it with all his heart.

　　阿文有一条黄色的小毯子，

　　当他还是小宝宝的时候，

　　他就有这条小毯子，阿文非常喜欢它。

　　"Fuzzy goes where I go,"

　　said Owen. And Fuzzy did.

　　Upstairs, downstairs, in-between.

　　Inside, outside, upside down.

　　不管是上、下楼梯，在家里、在外面，

　　阿文总是说：

　　“我去哪里，小毯子就跟我去哪里。”

　　"Fuzzy likes what I like,"said Owen.

　　And Fuzzy did. Orange juice, grape juice,

　　chocolate milk. Ice cream,

　　peanut butter, applesauce cake.

　　不管是橘子汁、巧克力、牛奶，

　　或者是冰淇淋、苹果酱、蛋糕，

　　阿文总是说：“我喜欢的东西，

　　小毯子都喜欢。”

　　Mrs. Tweezers:

　　"Isn't he getting a little old to be carrying

　　that thing around?

　　Haven't you heard of the Blanket Fairy?"

　　asked Mrs. Tweezers.

　　Owen's parents hadn't.

　　Mrs. Tweezers filled them in.

　　隔壁的阿姨忍不住说话了：

　　“阿文长大了，怎么还带着毯子到处走呢？

　　你们没有听过毛毯小精灵的故事吗？”

　　阿文的爸爸妈妈摇摇头。

　　“来，我说给你们听，再教你们怎么做。”

　　That night Owen's parents told Owen to put Fuzzy under his pillow.

　　In the morning Fuzzy would be gone,

　　but the Blanket Fairy would leave an

　　absolutely wonderful, positively perfect,

　　especially terrific big-boy gift in its place.

　　这天晚上，爸爸告诉阿文：

　　“如果你把小毯子放在枕头下，

　　明天早上，小毯子就不见了，

　　但是毛毯小精灵会留给你一个非常棒的礼物。

　　妈妈说：“是男孩子最喜欢的玩具哎！

　　Owen stuffed Fuzzy inside his pajama pants

　　and went to sleep.

　　睡觉前，阿文却把小毯子塞进了裤子里。

　　"No Blanket Fairy,"said Owen in the morning.

　　"No kidding," said Owen’s mother.

　　"No wonder,"said Owen's father.

　　第二天早上，阿文拿出小毯子说：

　　“根本没有毛毯小精灵。”

　　妈妈说：“天哪！你怎么把毛毯塞在裤子里？”

　　老爸说：“难怪....”

　　"Fuzzy's dirty,"said Owen's mother.

　　"Fuzzy's torn and ratty,"said Owen's father.

　　"No, “said Owen ”Fuzzy is perfect.".

　　And Fuzzy was.

　　妈妈说：“小毯子好脏。”

　　爸爸说：“小毯子又破又旧，丢掉算了。”

　　阿文不肯，他说：“小毯子很好啊！”

　　Fuzzy played Captain Plunger with Owen.

　　“小毯子可以当披风……”

　　Fuzzy helped Owen become invisible.

　　“我可以躲在小毯子里面，你们都找不到我。”

　　And Fuzzy was essential when it came to nail clippings

　　and haircuts and trips to the dentist.

　　阿文剪头发、看牙齿的时候，

　　都把小毯子带在身边。

　　"Can't be a baby forever,” said Mrs. Tweezers.

　　“haven't you heard of the vinegar trick?"

　　Owen's parents hadn't. Mrs.

　　Tweezers filled them in.

　　隔壁的阿姨说话了：

　　“阿文不能永远像个长不大的孩子，

　　你们试过泡醋的方法吗？”

　　阿文的爸爸妈妈摇摇头。

　　“来，我教你们怎么做。”

　　When Owen wasn't looking,

　　his father dipped Owen's favorite corner of Fuzzy

　　into a jar of vinegar.

　　Owen sniffed it and smelled it and sniffed it.

　　He picked a new favorite corner.

　　趁阿文不注意的时候，

　　爸爸把小毯子的一角，

　　泡在酸醋里。

　　阿文找到了小毯子，

　　闻到了一股怪味道，

　　只好抓着另一角跑出去了。

　　Then he rubbed the smelly corner

　　all around the sandbox,

　　buried it in the garden, and dug it up again.

　　"Good as new,"said Owen.

　　阿文把小毯子放进沙堆里搓一搓，

　　又把它埋在花园里，然后挖出来，

　　闻一闻说：“嗯……好一点儿了。”

　　Fuzzy wasn't very fuzzy anymore.

　　But Owen didn't mind.

　　He carried it.

　　And wore it.

　　And dragged it.

　　虽然小毯子还有一些怪味道，

　　但是，阿文一点也不在乎。

　　每天带着它，披着它，抱着它……

　　He sucked it.

　　And hugged it.

　　And twisted it.

　　每天吸着它，抱着它，扭着它……

　　"What are we going to do?"

　　asked Owen's mother.

　　"School is starting soon,"

　　said Owen's father.

　　"Can't bring a blanket to school,

　　haven't you heard of saying no?"

　　said Mrs. Tweezers.

　　Owen's parents hadn't.

　　Mrs. Tweezers filled them in.

　　“快开学了，怎么办呢？”

　　阿文的爸爸妈妈担心地问。

　　隔壁的阿姨说：

　　“不可以让阿文带着小毯子上学，

　　你们要直接告诉他：不行。”

　　"I have to bring Fuzzy to school,"said Owen.

　　"No," said Owen's mother.

　　"No,"said Owen's father.

　　Owen buried his face in Fuzzy.

　　He started to cry and would not stop.

　　“快开学了，怎么办呢？”

　　阿文的爸爸妈妈担心地问。

　　隔壁的阿姨说：

　　“不可以让阿文带着小毯子上学，

　　你们要直接告诉他：不行。”

　　阿文说：“我要带小毯子上学。”

　　“不行！”妈妈说。

　　“不行!”爸爸说得更大声。

　　阿文听了，用小毯子遮住脸，伤心地哭个不停……

　　"Don't worry,"said Owen's mother.

　　"It'll be all right,"said Owen's father.

　　And then suddenly Owen's mother said,

　　"I have an idea!"

　　妈妈说：“乖，不要哭。”

　　爸爸说：“我们再想想看。”

　　忽然，妈妈大叫：“哎呀！想出办法了！”

　　It was an absolutely wonderful,

　　positively perfect, especially terrific idea.

　　First she snipped.

　　And then she sewed.

　　Then she snipped again and sewed some more.

　　那是一个非常美妙、绝对完美、无与伦比的办法

　　妈妈把小毯子剪成一块、一块的，

　　再用缝纫机把它们的四个边儿车起来，

　　妈妈把小毯子做成了许多条小手绢儿。

　　"Snip, snip, snip. Sew, sew, sew.

　　Dry your eyes. Wipe your nose."

　　"Hooray, hooray, hooray! "said Owen

　　手绢做好了，

　　妈妈教阿文念：

　　“小手绢儿，一大堆，擦擦眼泪，擦擦嘴。”

　　阿文高兴地说：

　　“万岁、万岁、万万岁！”

　　Now Owen carries one of his not-so-fuzzy handkerchiefs with him wherever he goes....

　　现在，不管阿文走到哪里，

　　身上都带着一条小手绢儿。

　　And Mrs. Tweezers doesn't say a thing.

　　隔壁的阿姨也不再多话了。
